Challenge: Architecture had to take into consideration a number of factors, including building code and Nickel Plate District design standards.

Solution: RealAmerica, LLC contracted RQAW | DCCM as architect, structural, and civil engineer to develop a 9% low-income housing property for the bustling community of Fishers, Indiana. RQAW | DCCM was responsible for coordinating with federal tax credit agency IHCDA, building code, and the Nickel Plate District design standards. This 4-story interior conditioned corridor building is lined with 70 one- and two-bedroom units and boasts generous amenities like a dog washing station, bike storage, exercise room, craft room, toddler rooms, and Janus Day Services. In total, a construction set was achieved over 16 weeks on this 2.3-acre site for the cost of $14M.
