Empowering Communities Through Smart MEP Solutions
At the heart of every thriving community is a commitment to creating safe, efficient, and sustainable spaces. At RQAW | DCCM, our design-build and MEP renovation expertise allow us to transform aging infrastructure into modern, high-performance environments that serve people where they live, learn, and work. Whether it’s a K-12 renovation or a critical facility upgrade, we focus on helping small and large communities by delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions that enhance comfort, efficiency, and long-term value.

Transforming K-12 Schools Through Large-Scale HVAC Renovations
Utilizing the design-build project delivery method, our team developed a large HVAC renovation plan for a Jr-Sr High School in western Indiana, ensuring a seamless, collaborative approach from design through construction. Unlike the traditional delivery method that separates design and construction, design-build brings both phases under one team, allowing for better collaboration, streamlined communication, and improved cost control.
Designed in 2024, with construction set to begin in early 2025, this project exemplifies the efficiency and cost savings of the design-build approach. RQAW | DCCM values strong partnerships, and by working closely with the contractor from the start, we add value to the team, ensuring better coordination, reduced risks, and a high-quality outcome for all stakeholders.

Strategic MEP Replacements to Stay Within Budget
As part of a critical MEP replacement project for Anderson Community Schools, our team strategically planned a boiler replacement using the design-bid-build project delivery method to ensure a competitive and cost-effective process. In this traditional approach, the project is designed first, then enters into a separate agreement with a general contractor to complete the build.
By delivering two alternatives, RQAW | DCCM provided flexible solutions that allowed the owner to evaluate and compare options, ensuring the best value for their investment. Our approach allowed multiple manufacturers to maximize the project scope while staying within budget, ultimately delivering a high-performance system at a cost-effective price. This level of flexibility and strategic planning added value to the client, ensuring the project met both operational and financial goals.
